Hippocratic Oath: The Physician's Code of Conduct

Hippocrates (460BC-377BC), father of western medicine, wrote the Hippocratic Oath to keep the medical physician, pure according to the divine laws, through the life and practice of the respected physician. In time the Hippocratic Oath, was sworn by  newly appointed western medical physicians who were to pursue the Hippocratic path.

During the journey of centuries, the oath has changed in relationship with new medical technologies and society rules.

The question is now,

"Does the new Hippocratic Oath of today, provide the same effect of purpose like the original oath, providing a code of conduct, as well as protecting the patients well-being."
